BIOGRAPHY
Praised by Opera News as a "standout", Gina Perregrino earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees at Manhattan School of Music, before participating for two seasons in Minnesota Opera’s Resident Artist Program. She also trained as an Apprentice at the Santa Fe Opera, was a Regional Finalist and an Encouragement Award Winner from the Laffont Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, a recipient of the Richard Gaddes Career Grant from Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, and a winner of The Opera Foundation. This season, Ms. Perregrino joins the Savannah Philharmonic Orchestra for Mozart's Requiem, appears as a soloist with the Serafin Chamber Music Festival, performs with American Lyric Theater for both their 20th Anniversary Gala and their orchestra workshop of Alex Weiser's Tevye's Daughters, and makes her role debut as Mélisande in Opera Baltimore’s production of Debussy’s Pelléas et Mélisande.
