BIOGRAPHY
Bass-baritone Samuel Weiser is praised for his “stentonian bass” voice and ability to create “fully formed” characters due to an “acutely sensitive artistic compass” (Washington Classical Review, New Outpost). In the 2024-2025 season, Mr. Weiser performed Wurm in Luisa Miller with Washington Concert Opera, and returned to the Metropolitan Opera covering the role of Kill Chain: Safety Observer in Grounded, whose workshop he participated in with Washington National Opera. He also made a role debut as Leporello in Don Giovanni with Livermore Valley Opera, which he reprised this season with Annapolis Opera, and made his Gulfshore Opera debut as Raimondo in Lucia di Lammermoor. This season, he sang as Don Alfonso in Lucrezia Borgia with Baltimore Opera. In the 2026-2027 season, Mr. Weiser will sing as Dottore Grenvil in a concert version of La traviata with Helena Symphony.
