Jade PHOENIX

Irish soprano Jade Phoenix has been praised by Bachtrack for her “exquisite soprano” and “pearly high notes” in her recent performance as Rosetta in La ciociara with Wexford Festival Opera. In the 2025-2026 season, Ms. Phoenix returns to Wexford Festival Opera as Ines in Il trovatore, makes her house debut with Parma’s La Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini in Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, and returns to Irish National Opera as the Fox in Janáček’s The Cunning Little Vixen.

After beginning her relationship with the Irish National Opera as a member of their Studio, Ms. Phoenix has maintained a close relationship with the house. Recent engagements with INO include Valentina in the world premiere of Jennifer Walshe’s Mars, Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus, covering Despina in Così fan tutte, and singing the First Orphan in Die Rosenkavalier.

An alumnus of the inaugural Wexford Festival Opera Studio, Ms. Phoenix has since joined them as Rosetta in La ciociara (Tutino / Ceresa / Rossi), Ariele in Halévy’s La tempesta, and Giulietta in I Capuleti e i Montecchi.

In other recent performances, Ms. Phoenix has sung the soprano solos in Gounod’s Messe Solennelle de Sainte Cecile with the New Ross Singers, Carmina Burana with the Bray Choral Society, and Messiah at the Limerick Concert Hall, while also joining the Opera Collective Ireland at the Kilkenny Arts Festival as Iris in Semele.

Ms. Phoenix is an alumnus of the Academia Rossiniana at the Rossini Opera Festival. She received her MA in Music at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London and her BA in Music Performance at the Royal Irish Academy of Music.
